How To Draw a Car
Here’s a simple and easy tutorial on how to draw a car.
Step-By-Step Process on How To Draw a Car
Outline the Car Body
Using a rectangle as a guide, begin shaping the car’s silhouette. Round off the front and rear corners, and draw a smooth curved line over the top to form the roof. Connect the roofline back down to the rear of the car, creating a streamlined shape. Erase any unnecessary guide lines once the main outline looks balanced and clean.

Add Wheels
Draw two evenly spaced circles along the bottom of the car body for the wheels. Make sure both wheels are the same size and aligned horizontally. The bottom of the car body should slightly overlap the top of each wheel to make them look naturally attached to the vehicle.

Sketch the Windows
Inside the upper portion of the car body, draw the windows. Start with the front windshield by drawing a slanted line from the hood area up to the roof. Then sketch the side windows and rear windshield, following the curve of the roofline. Add a vertical line between the front and rear side windows to represent the door frame.

Add Details
Refine your drawing by adding features such as door outlines, door handles, side mirrors, headlights, and taillights. Draw a subtle line along the side of the car to suggest contour and structure. Keep your lines clean and intentional, enhancing the overall shape without overcrowding the design.

Detail the Wheels
Enhance the wheels by adding inner circles for rims. Sketch simple spoke patterns extending from the center hub outward. You can also add a thin outer ring to represent the tire edge. These details will give the wheels a more realistic and finished appearance.

Finalize the Drawing
Go over your final lines with a darker pencil, pen, or marker to define the clean outline. Erase any remaining guide marks and smudges. Refine shading and highlights as needed to balance the composition. Once complete, your car drawing should look cohesive, detailed, and professionally finished.
